For my senior project, I decided to do a lyric video based on a previous kinetic typography video that I made. I really enjoyed the process and wanted to create something similar to that.

 

The song I chose was ‘Dancing on a Dream’ by Majid Jordan (ft. Swae lee) because it’s fun and upbeat, and from their newest album.

 

Also, one of the things I had to consider when choosing this project was its commercial value, and the idea of a lyric video has commercial value as it helps to promote the artist’s music and help to engage fans/listeners with the song. Many musicians also release lyric videos to their songs instead of (or along with) a music video and I felt like my idea would align well with that.
